Is Therapy right for me?
There are many situations that can motivate someone to consider therapy, such as problems relating to anxiety, depression, divorce, work transition or simply a feeling that something is missing or like they are going through life with no passion or purpose. However, usually, it is our relationship with a partner/spouse that feels unsatisfying that send us searching for help. Working with a therapist can help provide insight, support, and new strategies for all types of life challenges including depression, anxiety, marital and family conflict, grief, stress management, body-image issues, and general life transitions. Therapy is right for anyone who is interested in getting the most out of their life by taking responsibility, creating greater self-awareness, and working towards change in their lives.

Can I afford therapy?
Yes, you can. My fee is set at a practicum student rate of $40 per session depending upon income and need. You may call (469) 712-6090 for a free 15 minute phone consultation to evaluate your needs.
Do you take Insurance?
No. I do not take nor can be billed on insurance at this time. My fees at the student rate are comparable to and often beat co-pay on most insurance plans.
What can I expect in a therapy session?
Every client(s) therapy session is different and is designed to accommodate an individual’s specific goals. Therapy can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue or longer-term, addressing more complex issues. Typically, weekly or bi-weekly sessions lasting 45-50 minutes are scheduled. There could be times when you are asked to complete an exercise outside of the therapy sessions, such as reading a relevant book or keeping records to track certain behaviors. Between sessions, it is important to process what has been discussed and incorporate it into your life. For therapy to be most effective, you must be an active participant, both during and outside the sessions.
Do you work with children?
My education and clinical experience enable me to work with children ages 11 years old and up
As a Christian counselor, do you only see Christians or religious believers?
My walk with Christ is mature and personal; His Word shapes my morals, values, and truths of which I view the world and the foundation from where I work with client(s). My intent is not to meet clients where I am at spiritually, but to meet the client where they are at emotionally and spiritually regardless of religious affiliations or convictions. I do not discriminate based on race, religion, or sexual orientation.
